HISTORY:

Machinery Movers, Riggers & Machinery Erectors Local Union #136 was organized in 1913.


PURPOSE:

To supply skilled machinery movers to Union Contractors.


TRAINED WORK FORCE

Local #136 has its own Training Center, which besides training Apprentices, we offer Journeyman training courses that keep Local #136’s Journeymen trained in the latest construction technology. Local #136 offers its Journeymen the following courses:
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Fork Lift Certified
  • OSHA-10
  • Foreman Upgrading
  • Journeyman Retraining
  • Stewards Customer Service
  • Certified Welders

IMPACT – DRUG FREE

IMPACT created a substance abuse policy, designed to meet and exceed owner requirements. IMPACT’s National Substance Abuse Program creates a pool of pre-tested workers, pre-qualified to work on job sites with substance abuse testing requirements. The program also provides an online database where IMPACT member contractors may verify drug testing records.

ON THE NORTH – Wisconsin State Line

ON THE NORTHWEST – From County Line on Route 53, follow Cook County Line to McHenry County, West of Kane County Line To Route 31, North on Route 31 to Route 14, Northwest on Route 14 To Route 47 to Wisconsin Line. Territories East of these Routes Belong to Local No. 63.

ON THE WEST – Illinois Route 53 from Cook County Line South to 31” Street to Eastern City limits of Downers Grove, South on Fairview Avenue onto Route 55, then East on 91 Street to Clarendon Road, South on Line with Clarendon Road to Cook County Line.

ON THE SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST – Will County Line

ON THE SOUTHEAST – Indiana State Line
